What pleases the eye also pleases the acoustics. The new VELA BS 404 is a compact loudspeaker that combines all the elements of the extremely successful VELA series: Great technology and exceptional design.

The design of the speaker is unique: Elaborately manufactured housing, trapezoidal and slightly inclined to the rear, high-quality lacquered or veneered, meets the material aluminium.

The slight inclination of the housing and the new waveguide of the JET-5 tweeter promote precise imaging in rooms with modern furnishings. Details such as the van den Hul internal wiring ensure the best sound reproduction, bi-wiring terminals also allow cable or amplifier-side upgrades.

Optimized loudspeaker chassis reproduce high-energy transients even better. The woofer/midrange drivers of the largest floorstanding speaker in the VELA series, the VELA FS 409, are used in the 12 liter housing. A concept that is perfect for larger rooms with little space for loudspeakers and that also presents the bass reproduction as absolutely “mature”.

The VELA BS 404 completes the line-up of the VELA series as a wonderfully large but compact speaker.

Form Supports Function

The convex-shaped baffle and the big radii of the cabinet promote the acoustics because the influences of the cabinet on frequency response are reduced.
