The Magnat Signature 503 is a premium 3-way bookshelf / surround speaker pair from Magnat’s Signature 500 series, offering impressive detail, clarity, and dynamic range in a compact form. Each speaker features a 6.5-inch Klippel-optimized bass-midrange driver, a 1.2-inch dome tweeter, and a 0.75-inch super-tweeter, which together deliver smooth mids, extended highs (up to ~53 kHz), and crisp, airy treble thanks to a dual tweeter module. The speakers are built in a bass-reflex (ported) MDF cabinet with ventilated voice coils for enhanced power handling and reduced distortion. With sensitivity of ~91 dB and RMS power handling of 100 W (170 W peak), they offer a lively, efficient performance even with modest amplification (>20 W). Their frequency response spans from ~32 Hz to 53 kHz, and their crossover points are set at about 2,800 Hz and 17,500 Hz. Measuring approximately 205 x 365 x 282 mm (W × H × D) per speaker and available in elegant Black Ash or Mocca finishes, these speakers work well for both high-fidelity stereo setups and as part of a home theater system with matching signature components.

Description

The Signature 503 is, as a shelf-top speaker, the most compact representative of the new 500 range. As a three-way system, it combines the hi-res dual tweeter module with a 17 cm bass-midrange unit. It unites all this in a footprint smaller than an A4 sheet of paper and a height of 365 mm. The sturdy MDF housing is available in two elegant finishes: black ash or mocha. It is just as practical as a compact stereo solution as it is when using it as a surround sound speaker in a home cinema set-up. Thanks to identical components like the front panel systems, it delivers an absolutely homogeneous soundscape. The Signature 503 is the best proof that perfect sound does not necessarily require huge speakers.
