Magnat Signature 507 Floorstanding Speaker (pair)

The Magnat Signature 507 is the flagship floor-standing speaker from Magnat’s Signature 500 lineup, combining refined German engineering with serious acoustic performance. It’s a 4-way, double-bass, bass-reflex design that houses dual 6.5-inch woofers plus a dedicated 6.5-inch midrange driver, a 1.2-inch dome tweeter, and a 0.75-inch super-tweeter for extended high-frequency reproduction. With a frequency response that spans approximately 23 Hz to 53,000 Hz, the Signature 507 is capable of deep, powerful bass as well as crystal-clear detail in the highs. It’s fairly efficient with a sensitivity of 92 dB (2.8V/1m), and requires modest power from an amplifier (>30W) to perform well. The cabinet is well-built, using low-resonance E1-MDF, with stiff construction, dual Airflex ports for smoother air flow, and options for bi-wiring or bi-amping to further optimize performance. Aesthetically, finishes include high-gloss piano black or satin lacquered Mocca fronts, combined with ash-decor cabinets, removable cloth grilles, metal spikes, and solid terminals—making it both an auditory and visual centerpiece in a high-end stereo or home theater system.

Description

The Signature 507 is just as slim as the 505, but a bit higher at 1030 mm. The increased size is due to the dual woofer used, with the result that the 507 has a 170 mm bass-midrange unit as well as woofers of the same size, enabling it to reproduce correspondingly lower frequencies. It does, of course, also have the Hi-Res certified dual tweeter module with 2 fmax domes. The front panel with its integrated wave guides also optimizes the dispersion characteristics. Like all the speakers in the Signature 500 range, the sturdiest possible connection terminals are used, which allows the best cables to be used, as well as facilitating bi-wiring or bi-amping operation. It goes without saying that the 507 is suitable both as a stereo speaker and as a front channel in a home cinema system.
