Q Acoustics 3020i is a dynamic speaker pairing a 5″ and 0.9″ precision driver. It can be placed on a shelf using pre-fitted rubber feet or wall/stand-mounted using purpose-built stands and brackets (available as optional extras separately).

Great Design

For a deep and punchy bass, the cabinet is built with a depth measuring identical to its height letting it achieve the best from as small a frontal area as possible. If you are listening in a less than perfect room, Q Acoustics include foam bungs, for the rear-facing ports which to help with less than ideal room positioning. The bass level can be reduced to compensate for non-ideal room positioning, but the definition and bass extension are increased.

Terminal cut-out panels, typically found on conventional speakers were removed, leading to advanced structural integrity to the cabinets and the binding posts are discrete and have been fitted with deep sockets to accept 4mm Banana Plugs (As always, we recommend QED Speaker Cables).

P2P Bracing

Q Acoustics Point to Point (P2P) bracing adds tension to the cabinet, where it specifically needs to be stiffened, ensuring the cabinet is exceptionally rigid, which improves the stereo imagery and improves the soundstage accuracy.

To keep the enclosure extra quiet Q Acoustics have introduced P2P bracing which maintains the correct air pressures within the cabinet.  The tweeter is a 22mm High-Frequency Driver with a micro-fibre soft dome with wide surround which helps to create a wide, even dispersion of stereo.

Driver Array

Within the 3000i Series, the tweeters are decoupled from the baffle by a compliant suspension system. Furthermore, the tweeter and woofer are physically separated to reduce the potential for unwanted vibrations from the woofer interfering with the tweeter. The 3020i cones are precisely formed from impregnated and coated paper and teamed with a newly developed, low-hysterics, rubber surround. Q Acoustics have employed a paper coater cone which gives an optimum balance between self- damping and stiffness, and therefore the driver accelerates without flexing and stops accurately without any unwanted resonance.

3020I comes in a choice of Graphite Grey, Carbon Black, English Walnut or Arctic White. The speakers have been finalised with an attractive chromed bezel surrounding each driver, and the grilles are magnetic and removable so you can have whichever look you prefer for your listening room.
