The ELAC Vertex IC-V61-W is a high-fidelity in-ceiling loudspeaker from ELAC’s Vertex Series I. It’s designed to deliver clean, musical sound while blending into your ceiling, making it a great option for home theater surround or height channels, distributed audio systems, or living-room audio where you don’t want bulky floor or shelf speakers. It uses a 1″ soft-dome tweeter paired with a 6.5″ polypropylene cone woofer, driven via an audio-grade crossover, to produce smooth highs and solid midrange performance. Its quoted frequency response is 45 Hz to 20 kHz, with sensitivity around 90 dB (2.83 V / 1 m), and it is rated for amplifier power in the 30–120 W range with a nominal impedance of 6 Ω. The grille is magnetic and paintable, so the speaker can virtually disappear in the ceiling, and mounting depth is fairly modest, making installation in many ceilings feasible.
