BIC America Acoustech 5.1 Home Theatre System

The BIC America Acoustech 5.1 Home Theatre System offers superb performance with enhanced coverage of the listening area, regardless of where you’re seated! Custom-designed and engineered 6.5” mid/high-frequency horn tweeters produce lifelike sound rich in clarity and achieve staggering high output to 119 dB (live rock band levels). PL-89II floor speakers include two high-power 8″ woofers with a ported design enabling frequencies down to 25Hz. The PL-28II centre speaker includes two high-power 8″ woofers that are specially designed to recreate voices and centre effects in movies. The PL-66 surrounds have angled cabinets, allowing wide dispersion reflection throughout the room.

Completing the system, the top-rated 12” PL-200 II subwoofers are powered by state-of-the-art BASH amplifiers capable of delivering up to 1000-watt dynamic peak output. Their heavy-duty long-throw 12” woofers move an impressive volume of air with exquisite control, even when being driven at the highest levels. Dual flared front ports enable an even transition of sound and dramatically boost deep bass frequencies, with a virtually flat response down to 20Hz. Wide port flares eliminate port noise, and heavy-duty cabinet bracing eliminates unwanted cabinet vibrations. The front porting also allows for extra placement flexibility, including the option of being placed or built into a cabinet.

All Acoustech Platinum Series speakers come in elegant enclosures with hand-rubbed black lacquer tops and bottoms. This extra step ensures each cabinet has a deep gloss shine that is more scratch-resistant than most lacquer finishes on the market.
