Description

AV Shack Brings you TEAC TN-4D – Turntable with Phono Stage & USB

TEAC TN4D Turntable features an all-new DC servo motor and tonearm with knife-edge pivot point bearings. This turntable has built in phono eq stage and USB digital output for archiving digital audio on your PC or MAC.

Newly Developed DC Motor

The newly developed brushless DC motor offers pinpoint speed accuracy and is regulated by a computer-controlled feedback circuit. It achieves super low flutter levels, making it ideal for a low-profile turntable design. Alongside this, a die-cast aluminium platter helps further enhance speed stability.

S-Shaped Tonearm With Knife Edge Pivoting Bearings

The TN-4D’s tonearm is created in collaboration with acclaimed tonearm manufacturer SAEC Corp. It employs a knife-edge pivot point bearing for a more dynamic sound performance. The tonearm is S-shaped and has a universal headshell fitting so you can swap and replace with a range of cartridges and headshells. The tonearm has precision anti-skating and stylus pressure adjustment for increased accuracy.

Built-in Phono EQ Amplifier

With a built-in Phono EQ Amplifier, you can connect the TN-4D turntable to any conventional amplifier or hi-fi system without a phono input. The phono stage supports moving magnet cartridges. It uses the NJM8080 IC amplifier designed for op-amp duties in order to boost the low-level signals received from the cartridge up to line level.

USB Digital Port

On the rear panel, you will find a USB port that allows you to enjoy CD-quality audio by connecting to your PC or MAC. This allows for easy archiving or recording of your analog library in high quality. Once your analog collections are archived, you can choose to listen to your now digital files on a portable device whilst you’re on the go, burn them onto a CD-4 or transfer them over to a memory card. The choice is yours. Signal transfer is protected from quality loss created by oxidation with gold-plated phono/line output terminals.
