Klipsch RP-8000F II Floorstanding Speaker (Pair)

    • The RP-8000F II is a 2.5-way design featuring dual 8-inch Cerametallic woofers paired with a 1-inch Titanium LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) vented tweeter mounted in Klipsch’s updated 90°×90° hybrid Tractrix® horn. This setup gives clear, dynamic highs, tight mids, and strong bass down to about 35 Hz, making it ideal for both detailed stereo music and cinematic soundtracks with impact. The cabinet is internally braced, made of MDF, with rear-firing dual Tractrix ports to improve low-frequency response while minimizing port noise. It includes dual binding posts for bi-amping or bi-wiring, and hidden Atmos-ready connections for optional height speaker add-ons. Built in finishes like ebony or walnut and magnetically removable grilles give it a premium look that fits both refined setups and more rugged home theater use. 90 x 90° Silicone Composite Hybrid Tractrix Horn
Klipsch’s proprietary Tractrix geometry in the horn is specifically crafted to efficiently transfer the high frequencies of the tweeter to the listener. This second-generation Tractrix horn is larger for better directivity and a wider overall soundstage. The Tractrix horn can accomplish this level of audio fidelity and smooth frequency response by being combined with a phase plug and a compressed molded silicone face.

LTS Titanium Diaphragm Tweeter

Part of Klipsch’s Reference line, the LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) works to minimize distortion for more detailed audio reproduction.

Vented Tweeter Design

The housing of the tweeter in this floorstanding speaker clarifies the high-frequency signal by reducing standing waves that would otherwise create unwanted harmonics.

Cerametallic Woofers
Another signature aspect of Klipsch’s Reference Premiere speakers is the Cerametallic woofers. This floorstanding speaker is equipped with dual 8″ woofers, and the Cerametallic construction keeps them lightweight, yet rigid, to both maximize acoustic efficiency and minimize distortion. In the second generation, voice coils are 70% larger in diameter to ensure flawless reproduction with better power handling, cone control, and linearity. The addition of aluminum shorting rings adds to the improved power handling and lower distortion, while the motor structure itself improves the transit response and adds more control with increased speed and improved accuracy.

Tractrix Ports
If you prefer a deeper bass from your speakers, the integrated ports of the RP-8000F II utilize Klipsch’s Tractrix geometry to produce clean and punchy low-end frequencies. The geometry allows the air to quickly and efficiently exit the speaker, which also reduces port noise. Customized inner flares further lower noise by reducing air turbulence entering the port.

Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping
Dual input terminals on the back of the speaker allow you to bi-wire and bi-amp with additional (optional) cabling. Bi-wiring allows you to separate the high and low frequencies to each cable. By separating them, interference and distortion are minimized, delivering a clearer sound that has more accuracy in your listening environment. The bi-amping can generate more power for your speakers by using outboard crossovers with (optional) separate amplifiers.

Advanced Cabinet Design
Klipsch incorporates additional bracing and constructed a divided cabinet to help with acoustic quality. Together, they minimize resonances and vibration to specifically improve the transparency and clarity of the sound it produces.

Improved Input Panel
The RP-8000F II features audiophile-grade wiring and easily accessible aluminum binding posts for any connection type.

Premium Construction
Klipsch uses internally braced, furniture-grade MDF for a durable and attractive appearance. The ebony vinyl finish includes satin-painted baffles that have a scratch-resistant coating.

Cast Aluminum Feet
In addition to its sleek and modern appearance, the cast aluminum feet of the RP-8000F II provide less resonance than using wood or plastic. These feet have been designed to minimize the surface area that’s in contact with the floor, providing you with the extra benefit of faster and tighter low frequencies and more audio detail.

Magnetic Grille
You have the option of exposing the copper-colored woofers and tweeter or covering them up with a discrete speaker grille. The grille magnetically attaches to the front of the RP-8000F II.
