Access the DAC with digital inputs
The great new feature with the Roksan Kandy K3 CD DI is the addition of digital inputs. With both optical and coaxial digital inputs you can now plug in your other digital sources and take advantage of the Roksan’s superb-sounding DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). From games consoles to DVD players, pretty much any digital source with a digital output benefits from a substantial upgrade in sound quality.

Award-winning sound
At the heart of the Roksan K3 CD is the Texas Instruments PCM1798 24 bit/192kHz DAC. This gives superb resolution without sacrificing refinement; bringing music to life without it becoming overbearing. Further enhancing precision and reducing the distortion effects of jitter, the K3 CD DI also features a custom made, high precision Master Clock Crystal. Also making its contribution to the sound quality is the high quality Toroidal transformer with seven fully regulated power rails. This high current power supply ensures the purest, lowest distortion sound possible.

Triple digital outputs including balanced XLR
As well as the regular optical and coaxial digital outputs, the K3 CD DI player also features a balanced AES/EBU output via XLR. This truly professional grade output matches up with other similarly equipped digital amps or DACs for absolute sonic accuracy. In addition to this, the K3 also features gold-plated analogue RCA phono connections for standard amps.

Superior built quality
A great step up in terms of both style and quality, the Roksan K3 CD DI player is a sophisticated player. Using a substantial and rigid new chassis, the K3 CD player weighs in at 9KG – pretty heavy for a CD player! It’s this mass that provides excellent damping against mechanical vibration – reducing the chances of distortion still further. Roksan have also used the highest quality components internally, resulting in a fuller, smoother balance with an ‘analogue’ vibe to the sound.
