Overview

True-to-the-original sound

The HS4/HS3 inherit the design philosophy and know-how of previous Yamaha studio monitors.
It is made up of carefully selected parts, including a high-performance class D amplifier, a high-resilience MDF cabinet, a woofer and a soft dome tweeter that achieve a sound faithful to the source despite their small size. In addition, Yamaha’s unique “Twisted Flare Port” is used to reduce the turbulent air noise generated at both ends of the bass reflex port, achieving clear and precise bass.

Adjusting the sound quality to suit your environment

The sound coming from a speaker can sometimes be affected by the surrounding environment.
The rear panel of the HS4/HS3 is equipped with ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM functions, which suppress unwanted low frequencies that tend to occur when the speakers are placed close to a wall, allowing you to achieve ideal sound in any environment.

Inputs and controls for every use case

The rear panel of the HS4/HS3 is equipped with a combination XLR/TRS phone combo jack, RCA, and stereo mini jacks, allowing connection to a wide range of devices such as computers, audio interfaces, mixers, and electric musical instruments.
Additionally, frequently used functions such as the volume knob and headphone jack are located at the front for easy access.

Compact and portable

The HS4/HS3 utilises highly efficient Class D amplifiers to achieve a compact size, and by using one amplifier for two speakers, the weight of the speakers is reduced, and cable wiring is simplified.
It doesn’t take up much space even in a small private studio, and it’s easy to carry around when you’re out and about.
