KEF T301 satellite speakers are designed to perfectly complement any flatscreen television, being less than an inch and a half deep, yet sound as impressive as a traditional deeper loudspeaker design. Despite their slim profile, these speakers deliver all the intricacy, spaciousness, wide soundstaging, and dynamic range of a conventional high-end design.
How do these speakers sound so good when they’re so slim? Well, the bass/midrange section of the speaker uses a twin layer flat diaphragm instead of a traditional speaker cone. KEF has also reduced the thickness of the magnets and moved the suspension out of the magnets. These design features result in sleek, slender speakers that can be wall or stand-mounted, yet sound so impressive that most who experience them for the first time can’t believe they sound so stunning!
The T301 can be wall-mounted or mounted on floor stands. The stands include a “Select a mount,” which adjusts the sound balance of the speakers depending on whether it’s mounted on the stands or on the wall. This adjusts the sound to ensure you don’t get any unwanted bass that can occur from mounting speakers on the wall.
In contrast to the smaller T101 speakers, the T301 features two (rather than one) 115mm (4.5in.) ultra-low profile bass and midrange drivers for an even bigger sound, matched to the same high-performance 25mm (1in.) vented tweeter.
