Polk Audio RC60i – 6.5” 2-Way In-ceiling Speaker

The Polk Audio RC60i In-Wall/In-Ceiling speakers practically have the in-wall speaker race in the bag. They are effectively the benchmark. Dimensions

The RC60i comes in 6.5-inch and 8-inch versions, and its Infinite Baffle tuning uses the enclosure of the wall space to enhance its bass response. The hardest part of the setup is going to be cutting a round hole in your wall, but after you have figured that out, their rotating cams fix the speaker to the wall. Hook up speaker cabling to the RC60i and run it to your amplifier or home theatre receiver, and you are set.

Sound Quality

The warm sound, clear mid-range, solid highs and resounding bass are reported to sound best with home theatre. For surround sound audio or stereo fronts, the RC60i is reported not to perform as well with staging and precision as a set of bookshelf or floor-stander speakers of moderate price.
