Anti-Resonance Technology Wedge

The Anti-Resonance Technology Wedge is a fifth foot in the center of the receiver. It is engineered to dampen vibrations from the power transformer, power transistors, and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that might be caused by the sound from the speakers.

YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer) analyzes the room acoustics with the included microphone to tune your system for optimal sound in your room. RSC (Reflected Sound Control) is used to further optimize sound parameters for enhanced performance from CINEMA DSP, Dolby Atmos, and DTS: X.

These gaming and multimedia features help provide more seamless motion and transitions for enhanced overall performance. Support for these on three HDMI inputs, allowing simultaneous connection of multiple next-generation consoles, is scheduled to be added via a future firmware update.

Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization via Future Firmware Update

This virtual surround sound technology simulates the effect of height speakers to create the Dolby Atmos experience with only forward-facing drivers. This feature is a planned addition via a future firmware update.
