Waveguide Horn
The Yamaha NS-555 sports Yamaha’s exclusive waveguide horns, which minimize the reflected sound and retain the sound quality at the highest level. It increases the proportion of directly generated sound waves reaching your ears. This remarkably compensates for the lack of sound-absorbing materials on the walls of most homes. This enables a clear and precise sense of sound direction, thereby creating a concert-like experience for you.

Three-Way/Four-Driver Bass Reflex Speaker System
Yamaha’s NS-555 speaker system is engineered with premium-grade components to provide clean, accurate, & powerful sound. The floor-standing speaker is a bass-reflex design that can be used for main channels and incorporates a pair of 6 1/4″ Polymer-Injected Mica Diaphragm (PMD) cone woofers, a 5″ midrange cone driver, and a 1” aluminum dome tweeter. Furthermore, the midrange and tweeter utilize Yamaha’s exclusive waveguide horns for improved imaging.

Internally Wired with Monster Cable™
Yamaha’s NS-555 delivers optimum sound quality by internally wiring some of the components with its patented Monster Cable™. This ensures a clean, clear signal from the crossover network to the speaker driver, thereby enabling the natural sound to emanate from the NS-555 speaker. The improved signal delivery invites higher quality audio & an immersive soundscape.

Bi-Wiring Capability
To further maintain signal purity, Yamaha provides the bi-wiring capability for the NS-555 speakers. There are separate +/- terminals for the woofer(s) and another driver (s). The separation drastically minimizes modulation distortion, thereby providing exceptional sound quality.

Performance Enhanced by a Handsome Cabinet
The EF series speakers are enclosed in an Elliptical Form cabinet with a high gloss black piano finish, which provides solid construction with minimal sound diffraction. This ensures that the full-range sound is gloriously rich, smooth, and powerful.

Magnetic Shielding
The speaker is magnetically shielded, so it can be placed on a TV or video monitor without degrading the picture via stray magnetic fields.
