It features a 5.25″ aluminum-cone woofer paired with a JET folded-ribbon tweeter, allowing for a smooth transition from the mid/bass driver into ultra-fast, high-frequency extension. B&H Photo Video+1 The cabinet uses a downward-firing port for greater placement flexibility and reduced vent noise when positioned near walls. TMR Audio+1 With a frequency response of 46 Hz – 30 kHz (IEC 268-5), a sensitivity of 85-86 dB (2.83 V/1 m) and nominal impedance of 6 Ω (minimum around 4.8 Ω), it is best paired with a quality amplifier of about 30-150 W per channel to bring out its capabilities. B&H Photo Video+1 Aesthetically, it is available in satin black or white finishes, with each speaker measuring approximately 20.6 cm W × 21.6 cm H × 31.8 cm D and weighing about 6.7 kg.

Compound Curvature Aluminum Woofer

To match the capabilities of the JET tweeter and guarantee a seamless transition from the woofer to the JET tweeter, the compound curvature cone has been developed to control the cone breakup and move it well beyond the operating range of the woofer. A large diameter voice coil and oversized vented pole piece magnet combine to give remarkable bass dynamics and a rich, powerful performance.

Downward Firing Port

For a more flexible speaker placement and to minimize ventilation noise, the bass reflex port on the Carina series is directed to the floor, exiting the bottom of the speaker cabinet in a down-firing configuration.
