Using the MPD (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) tweeter unit from the range-topping Platinum II range, the Studio speakers offer stunning treble definition. Rather than the usual treble limit of around 20kHz – 30kHz, the Studio delivers right up to 60kHz. Although this is well beyond the audible human spectrum, it means less harmonic distortion and compression of the frequencies we can hear. This means you get a smooth, airy treble that sounds totally true to life.

Reference quality sound

Every bit impressive as the tweeters are the mid-range/bass woofers. Derived from Monitor Audio’s Platinum PL500 II speakers, the twin driver array gives an incredibly natural and precise sound that easily lives up to the ‘Studio’ name. The RDT II (Rigid Diaphragm Technology) woofers use a composite ‘sandwich’ construction to deliver low weight and ultimate rigidity. The combination of C-CAM and woven carbon fibre makes these speakers incredibly quick to react and linear – meaning you get perfect resolution and hear the sound just as the artist intended.

Natural bass

Although these compact speakers are never going to achieve ground-shaking bass, they do give the accurate and fast-paced bottom end you’d expect from a studio grade speaker. Twin HiVe II High Velocity bass ports improve bass efficiency and help these compact speakers deliver impressive volume levels.

Available in satin black, white or grey, these speakers offer sleek, contemporary style. Bolt-through driver mountings not only improves the sound but also leaves the front baffle free from ugly fixing bolts, giving a clean, sophisticated appearance.
