The R8a is a flexible solution for anybody wanting to bring an all-immersive movie experience to their home. With the integrated wall mount feature, R8a can serve as a surround or rear speaker. Alternatively, if placed upon another speaker, R8a will bounce sound off the ceiling, bringing Dolby Atmos to the home without the need for custom installation. Equipped with a 130mm (5.25in.) Uni-Q array with a 25mm (1 in.) tweeter, every detail is described and steered around the listening space as the director intended.

R-Series sound quality

Famous Uni-Q technology made better with Shadow Flare
KEF’s famous Uni-Q technology places the treble unit within the throat of the woofer, creating a single-point source for sound across the frequency spectrum. Derived from their high-end Reference Series, Shadow Flare technology reduces cabinet diffraction at high frequencies – meaning the sound reaches you in its purest, least distorted form.

As well as offering top-quality sound, the R8a is also easy to place. Featuring flexible wall mounting, the speakers can easily be hung at the perfect height for immersive sound. Alternatively, the front profile is perfectly angled to direct sound upwards when placed on top of your existing speakers.
High gloss finish
Styled to match the KEF R-Series speakers, the R8a speakers also look great on other brands of speakers finished in gloss white or gloss black, too. At just under 175mm wide and 259mm deep, they comfortably fit on top of all but the smallest speakers.
